Preliminary business results for 2019: secunet closes the year with record figures again

- Sales revenues increase by 39% to 226.9 million euros

- EBIT improves by 23% to 33.2 million euros

[Essen, 24 January 2020] secunet Security Networks AG (ISIN DE0007276503, WKN 727650), a leading German provider of high-quality, trustworthy IT security and IT security partner of the Federal Republic of Germany, publishes initial business results today for the past year 2019. Provisional calculations show that the company once again achieved outstanding results in the 2019 financial year.

The preliminary business figures for the completed 2019 financial year indicate that secunet Group grew for the sixth year in succession. Revenues in secunet Group reached a level of 226.9 million euros, thus increasing by 39% on the previous year (163.3 million euros). Earnings before interest and taxes amounted to 33.2 million euros, representing an improvement of 23% on 2018 (26.9 million euros).

One factor behind the good business development in the past financial year was the rollout of the healthcare connector for medical practices, which led to substantial growth in the healthcare sector with a focus on the first half of 2019. Furthermore, as in previous years, an increase in procurements towards the end of the year meant that business results were also high in the fourth quarter. In Q4 2019, secunet Group achieved sales revenues of 63.4 million euros (prior-year quarter: 65.3 million euros) and an EBIT of 11.1 million euros (Q4 of previous year: 13.2 million euros).
