The coronavirus and its immediate impacts have engulfed business and society. The development of the environment relevant for the business performance of Salzgitter Group can therefore currently not be reliably assessed. At this moment we can neither maintain the forecast report of Salzgitter AG, which was published on March 16, 2020, nor provide an adequately robust new forecast for the financial year 2020.
We give top priotrity to the health and safety of our employees. At the same time we are committed to maintaining the business operations of our subsidiaries and shareholdings to the greatest extent possible in order to remain a reliable partner for our customers also in these difficult times. In order to achieve this, we are utilizing all available instruments with a view to minimizing the economic impact of the corona pandemic.
