Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft: Service agreement for the filling of non-alcoholic branded products of an international beverage group (so-called "contract bottling business") ends at the end of 2020

The Berentzen Group has been informed by its customer, an international beverage group, that it does not intend to continue the long-standing cooperation on filling its non-alcoholic branded products beyond 2020. The service agreement with Vivaris Getränke GmbH & Co. KG, Haselünne, a subsidiary of Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft, will accordingly end with effect from the end of December 31, 2020. The background to this is the customer's internal structural measures with regard to the supply chain.

The current contract bottling business will be continued according to contract until the end of the year 2020.

The reduction in consolidated revenues expected from the termination of this contract bottling business in the Non-Alcoholic Beverages segment from the 2021 financial year onwards, when viewed in isolation, amounts to approximately 12.0 million euros per year. However, taking into account countermeasures to be taken and due to the comparatively weak earnings quality of the contract bottling business, the effect on adjusted consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (consolidated EBIT) for the financial years from 2021 onwards is expected to be of minor significance. However, dependent on the type and scope of the measures, in total one-time exceptional effects negatively impacting earnings cannot be excluded completely in financial year 2020.
