In its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Evonik Industries AG has consented to the amicable premature termination of the board position of the Chairman of the Executive Board, Dr. Klaus Engel, with effect from the end of the Annual Shareholders' Meeting of Evonik Industries AG on May 23, 2017. The current Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Christian Kullmann, has been appointed as successor Chairman of the Executive Board. Further on, the Supervisory Board has resolved to appoint a new Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board being responsible for Chemistry and Innovation. Dr. Harald Schwager shall be appointed with such position with effect of September 1, 2017. The Supervisory Board has also consented to the amicable premature termination of the board position of Dr. Ralph Sven Kaufmann, as Chief Operating Officer being responsible for the operating business, with effect of June 30, 2017.
