High material prices and lower quantities sold led to an unexpectedly weak second quarter. The deviation from the forecast is mainly due to lower-than-expected sales in both Chemicals and Consumer Products. We have already taken countermeasures, some of which will have a noticeable effect in the second half of the year. However, in light of continuing lackluster demand and increased pressures in terms of pricing and competition, we - as cautious businesspeople - no longer wish to stand by our forecast of a year-on-year rise in sales and earnings in fiscal year 2013. Instead, we expect annual sales to fall in 2013 and anticipate a decline in earnings for fiscal year 2013.
