According to an analysis of preliminary results, the sales and earnings figures of DATA MODUL AG declined in the third quarter of 2019, compared to the numbers achieved in the same period of the previous year. The main reason for this is the continued troubled market environment. Therefore, the company also adjusts its forecast for the fiscal year 2019.
The group EBIT in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2019 amounted to EUR -0.4 million, marking a decline of approx. 107 % in comparison to the same period of the previous year (EUR 5.9 million). Sales declined by approx. 29 % to EUR 44.3 million in comparison to EUR 62.1 million in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2018. Bookings declined by approx. 28 % to EUR 46.3 million in comparison to EUR 64.2 million for the same period of the previous year.
DATA MODUL AG will publish the final results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2019 on November 9 th, 2019.
The company further adjusts its forecast for the fiscal year 2019 as follows:
- Orders received: decline by 11-19% in comparison to EUR 253.8 million achieved in the fiscal year 2018 (previously forecasted: growth by 3-19%)
- Order backlog: increase by 2-15% in comparison to EUR 122.0 million achieved in the fiscal year 2018 (previously forecasted: growth by 4-15%)
- Sales: decline by 7-16% in comparison to EUR 241.4 million achieved in the fiscal year 2018 (previously forecasted: growth by 3-19%)
- EBIT: decline by 33-57% in comparison to EUR 20.8 million achieved in the fiscal year 2018 (previously forecasted: growth by 1-20%)
- Net income: decline by 34-58% in comparison to EUR 14.3 million achieved in the fiscal year 2018 (previously forecasted: growth by 3-20%)
- Return on equity: decline by 32-56% in comparison to 22.1% achieved in the fiscal year 2018 (previously forecasted: growth by 0-5%)
