CENTROSOLAR Group AG today sold the enitre shares in its subsidiary Renusol GmbH, Cologne to RBI Solar, Inc., Cincinnati, USA. After deduction of debts of Renusol and cost of sale an amount of approx. EUR 2.6 million will be accured to the insolvent estate. The sale is a consistent step in focusing on the North American solar market and was already part of the cornerstones of insolvency plan, which were published on February 27, 2014. CENTROSOLAR shall now be continued mainly with its subsidiary Centrosolar America, Inc. Renusol is a leading provider of solar mountig systems for roofs in Europe with an office also in the USA. RBI Solar is a leading provider for solar mounting systems with a strong competence mainly in open land installations in the USA. Thus, both producers perfectly add to each other. They can exploit synergies together, an advantage which would have been more difficult to achieve as long as Renusol remained within CENTROSOALR. The warranties in the share sales agreement could be significantyl reduced in terms of amount and duration due to the restructuring situation of CENTROSOLAR. The product guarantees of Renusol remain fully unchanged.
