In 1Q14 the Matica Technologies group recorded total revenues for EUR6.3 million (0.0% yoy) with the gross margin improved due to a different product mix from 37.0% in 1Q13 to 40.2% in 1Q14. Unlike in 1Q13, the EBIT of 1Q14 does not include special items and has been achieved from operative business. Personnel cost decreased 17.2% yoy mainly thanks to the positive effects of the restructuring in the German HQ. Other costs show a slight increase due to seasonal activities, especially in marketing and exhibitions. Not included in the EBIT are intragroup shares in the cost of R&D of KEUR 476.
