In this role, Mr. Righi will focus primarily on sales of Matica's "systems" products in the U.S.A. and Canada. Mr. Righi will report to the Regional Director of Matica's North American operations, Ed Cochran, and be part of the Matica USA-based team with offices in South Carolina and Florida. Mr. Righi has over 25 years of work experience in the ID and card issuance industries, including more than 20 years of work history at Datacard Corporation and more than 5 years with Gemalto. He has considerable experience in both direct and indirect sales, having served in senior account manager and regional channel manager roles, and he is very familiar with both ID card printers and related items for desktop card production, smart cards, and NFC, as well as large card personalization machines for central card issuance. Mr. Righi has been instrumental in developing card issuance and / or card management programs for major firms like AT&T, Boeing, Blue Cross, Carnival Cruise Line, Disney, First USA Bank, Jet Blue, Microsoft, Royal Bank of Canada and Target. His successes include sales to one of the top three credit unions in the U.S.A.; a cashless e-purse and access control solution for Disney World Resorts and cruise ships; a major hospital chain with deployment of printers and cards for over a hundred hospitals; and a program to issue approximately 20 million insurance cards.
