BDI - BioEnergy International AG / Key word(s): Incoming Orders 30.01.2015 13:59 Dissemination of an Ad hoc announcement according to § 15 WpHG, transmitted by DGAP - a service of EQS Group AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BDI - BioEnergy International AG receives further multi-million order from existing UK customer (Grambach, 30 January 2015) BDI - BioEnergy International AG ("BDI"), leading technology supplier and specialised plant manufacturer in the field from waste to value, announces the confirmation of a major order through the British company Argent Energy (UK) Limited (Motherwell, Scotland, a subsidiary of John Swire and Sons Ltd.) The order volume for BDI amounts to approx. 11 million Euros. Three years after expansion of the existing BioDiesel plant, the company Argent Energy (UK) Limited (Motherwell, Scotland, a subsidiary of John Swire and Sons Ltd.) have engaged the technical expertise of BDI - BioEnergy International AG to work with them on another milestone project in the UK. The longstanding customer has commissioned the plant-engineering specialist from Styria, Austria, to construct a plant for the conversion of commercial and industrial waste fats, that have a very high free fatty acid (FFA) content. In the first construction phase, this fat fraction will be converted into a biodiesel intermediate using the latest BDI technology. The order volume for BDI is approx. EUR 11 million. This intermediate will subsequently be converted into standard-compliant, high-quality second-generation biodiesel fuel in a BDI Multi-Feedstock BioDiesel plant, which is currently in the planning and design stage. Processing difficult wastes such as grease trap fats, requires the use of complex esterification technology. For the first time, the new High-FFA esterification unit by BDI renders it possible to feed these wastes into a BDI Multi-Feedstock plant as a cheap raw material for further processing into biodiesel fuel. Due to this order confirmation BDI is able to intercept the effects of the persistent difficult market environment in the field of renewable energies as well as the prolonged project delays in the BioDiesel field with respect to revenue and the operating result (EBIT) in the current financial year. In particular, the delay in the commission start of the exceptional order at the end of 2013 for the extension of a BioDiesel plant in the Netherlands and also the already commissioned Croatian BioDiesel project, whose order probability was downgraded by BDI, had an adverse impact on the business development of BDI in 2015. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information and Explaination of the Issuer to this News: Further information 'This contract enables us to lay another successful milestone in the BDI history with our trend-setting new technology for recovering and utilizing the most difficult fatty wastes.' said Markus Dielacher, MSc (CTO and Member of the Management Board).
