DGAP-News: BDI - BioEnergy International AG / Key word(s): Quarter Results BDI - BioEnergy International AG: Increase of the order backlog in the first quarter of 2015 13.05.2015 / 08:00 --------------------------------------------------------------------- BDI - BioEnergy International AG: Increase of the order backlog in the first quarter of 2015 (Grambach, 13th May 2015): Despite difficult surrounding conditions in the industry, BDI - BioEnergy International AG was able to increase the order backlog and secure the medium-term utilization of the production capacities. BDI - BioEnergy International AG reports revenues of EUR 4.3 million in the first quarter of 2015 (previous year: EUR 4.3 million) despite delays in the realisation of major projects. The operating result (EBIT) amounted to EUR -1.7 million in the reporting period (previous year: EUR -0.3 million). Due to a positive financial result (incl. taxes) the profit for the period reached EUR -0.8 million (previous year: EUR 0.3 million). The cash flow from operating activities of EUR 3.5 million is based on advance payments from customers. High order backlog and promising research results Compared to the first quarter of 2014 the order backlog was significantly increased. The decisive factors for this are the new orders acquired in Great Britain and Austria. The total order backlog at the end of March 2015 amounted to EUR 89.1 million (previous year: EUR 73.7 million). On-going delays in the financing still hamper the timely implementation of the BioDiesel project in Croatia. The major Dutch BioDiesel order still finds itself in the authorisation phase - partial revenues are expected for the financial year 2015. In its research and development BDI was able to achieve promising results in the production of valuable algae products in the BDI reactor system. This technology was already successfully transferred into the pilot scale. The trial operation is expected to be completed in 2015 and facilitate the preparation for an industrialisation. Stable basis for the future With equity resources of EUR 47.1 million and an equity ratio of 64.5% BDI is well equipped for the future. Therefore, the company works extensively on the strategic development of its business operations. With successfully proceeding research and development projects and due to potential acquisitions of complementing technologies, BDI is confident to realize sustainable success in the mid-term.
